Professional Experience

As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Mercado is responsible for the strategic growth of the firm as well as oversight of the day-to-day activities of the firm’s operations team. He is also responsible for the design and implementation of the company’s insights strategy and data team, comprised of the engineering and research departments.

Mr. Mercado began at B6 in July 2018. Upon his hiring, he served as Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining B6, Adrian founded Alero Advisors, a data strategies advisory firm that focused on the real estate technology sector. Before Alero, he worked as Head of Product of Urbint, a data intelligence company focused on helping cities become more resilient.

Adrian has a long history of work in real estate with experience as Managing Director of Research in the Capital Markets Group at Cushman & Wakefield from 2015 to 2016. In this position, he was responsible for the department’s day-to-day activities and was a member of the Global Data and Technology Strategy team. From 2010 to 2015, he served as Vice President of Research at Massey Knakal Realty Services.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. He currently serves as an advisor for StreetWire and SpaceIt.
