Professional Experience

Mr. Cheng is a Director on The Johnston Team at B6 Real Estate Advisors, where he works alongside DJ Johnston, Partner, Senior Managing Director, focusing on investment sales in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant, Bushwick, Crown Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, and Stuyvesant Heights neighborhoods. Previously, he was a Director at Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Massey Knakal Realty Services).

Mr. Cheng started at Massey Knakal as an Intern in 2007 and was quickly promoted to full-time Associate. During this time he focused on various neighborhoods throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan and Staten Island. He has since evaluated and underwritten over 750 properties and assisted in the execution of approximately 100 transactions with an aggregate value of over $250,000,000.

Earlier, Mr. Cheng was a Financial Representative at Primerica Financial Services where he educated clients of saving in life insurance policies, properly allocating their finances to allow them to retire debt free and financially secure. He also managed a team of 15 representatives tasked with conducting customized financial-needs analyses and also assisted with recruiting and training of new associates.  In addition, Mr. Cheng was a recipient of the Top Builders Award for ranking as one of the top producers in the region for new agents during their first year.

Mr. Cheng attended Polytechnic Institute of New York University (now NYU Tandon School of Engineering) where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Born in Downtown Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn, he currently resides in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.
