Paul J. Massey, Jr.

Paul Massey was born in Boston, Massachusetts where he attended the Roxbury Latin School. He graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, in 1983.

Mr. Massey began his career at CBRE and soon became head of the market research department in Midtown Manhattan, then as an investment sales broker.

He founded Massey Knakal Realty Services together with his colleague Robert A. Knakal, whom he met at CBRE. The company became the New York metropolitan area’s dominant commercial investment sales brokerage firm. With over 225 employees serving more than 200,000 property owners, Massey Knakal Realty Services was consistently ranked New York’s #1 investment sales firm in volume for 14 consecutive years.

As CEO of Massey Knakal, he led the development of the firm’s strategic initiatives including geographic expansion as well as the growth of the firm’s service lines. At the end of 2014, Cushman & Wakefield acquired Massey Knakal and Mr. Massey was appointed President, New York Investment Sales.

In 2017, Paul Massey ran as a Mayoral Candidate for New York City, primarily focusing on education, housing and homelessness while also providing solutions for how to improve quality of life in the city.

In July 2018, Mr. Massey and his partners launched a new commercial brokerage firm, B6 Real Estate Advisors, short for “Building By Building, Block By Block”. The investment sales and capital advisory firm specializes in middle-market ($1-$200 million). The firm employs a distinct Territory Network model, that ensures sub-market expertise for its agents along with an owner-aligned philosophy and a technology-forward platform.

Mr. Massey is a member of numerous organizations including REBNY and The Lower East Side Tenement Museum. He is also an amateur boxer and an avid skier.  He and his wife, Gretchen, have three children; son, Paul III, and daughters, Sarah and Greta. He resides in Larchmont, NY.

Alex Woodlief

Alex Woodlief is a Director of Investment Sales with B6 Real Estate Advisors specializing in Manhattan’s Midtown South market. Alex has specific expertise with value-add loft office, commercial development and ground lease transactions. In his career, he has been involved in the underwriting, sale and capital raising for over $4-billion of New York City commercial real estate.

Alex joined B6 from Kaufman Investments, the institutional acquisition arm of the Kaufman Organization, one of New York’s oldest and largest private owners of office buildings. At Kaufman, he was responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities, managing landlord partnerships and business development initiatives.

Prior to Kaufman, Alex was an associate in the capital markets group of Cushman & Wakefield where he focused on middle-market investment sale transactions in Manhattan. Earlier, he raised capital for real estate credit and equity strategies for REIT sponsor American Realty Capital. Prior, he served as Asset Manager for SigEp National Housing, a boutique owner/operator and lender specializing in student housing assets nationwide.

Alex graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Political Science. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York and has held his FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses.

Jonathan Buerger

Jonathan is a Director at B6 Real Estate Advisors where he works directly for Paul Massey, CEO of B6, overseeing Executive Operations. Including transaction management, agent and team coordination, marketing operations, and investor relations.

Known for establishing and creating relationships with industry leaders locally and internationally, Jonathan established himself as a valuable resource, guiding his clients through the complex and competitive New York real estate market.

Prior to joining B6 in 2020, Jonathan attended the University of Bristol, UK where he graduated with a Master of Science degree in Finance & Investment. In Bristol, Jonathan was part of the University Rowing Team, one of the top ten rowing clubs in the UK.

Jonathan was first exposed to real estate during an internship at Cushman & Wakefield where he worked directly for the global CEO. Prior to that he gained valuable experience at firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and HSBC.

Born and raised in Cologne, Germany, Jonathan earned his Bachelors degree in International Business Management from the European Business College in Duesseldorf.

When not selling real estate, Jonathan can be found going for a run along Hudson River, watching his favorite soccer club from Cologne, or volunteering for Breaking Ground, an organization that provides housing and support for people who were experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Mark Lively

Mark Lively is a Managing Director at B6 Real Estate Advisors. He has worked in the North Brooklyn Market for over 20 years and sold over 350 properties with an aggregate value of approximately $3 billion. Previously he worked at Massey Knakal Realty Services and Cushman & Wakefield. Mark is a graduate of the University of Richmond where he earned his Bachelors’ degree in Economics. He has written for City Feet Spaces NY and Real Estate Weekly and has been quoted in the NY Times, New York Post, The Real Deal, NY Real Estate Journal and others. His notable clients have included:  HSBC, Verizon, Con Edison, MB Financial, Dime Savings Bank, Capital One, NY Community Bank.

Michael Wlody

Over the last 30 years, senior financial executive Michael Wlody has proven himself to be a steady hand in changing times. From leading NYC’s Massey Knakal Realty Services on a 14-year run as the city’s #1 commercial real estate firm based on number of transactions, to growing a preeminent financial brand to 100+ employees and more than $70 million in annual revenues, Mr. Wlody has repeatedly helped complex organizations achieve high growth.

As Chief Financial Officer at B6 Realty Advisors, Mr. Wlody is responsible for bringing the firm’s keystone technology-forward approach to financial operations, and integrating systems to streamline transactions for both agents  and owners. Along with directing B6’s Corporate Services and Information Technology departments, Mr. Wlody oversees the firm’s accounting, tax, budgeting, cash management and risk management functions.

Prior to joining B6 Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Wlody was a Partner and the Chief Financial Officer of Massey Knakal Realty Services for 10 years. Mr. Wlody was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, and a founding Board member and Treasurer of the Massey Knakal Charitable Foundation, which provided support to local educational, family and other community-oriented charitable causes.

Following the acquisition of Massey Knakal by Cushman & Wakefield in 2014, Mr. Wlody served as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Paul  Massey’s campaign for Mayor of New York City.

Before venturing into commercial real estate, Mr. Wlody spent 17 years with Market Data Corporation, a provider of real-time financial information products. Beginning in 1987, Mr. Wlody was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the firm, later named Secretary, eventually became Chief Administrative Officer. He served on the firm’s Executive Committee, and also served as Treasurer of the Market Data Corporation Charitable Foundation, which provided support to medical initiatives.

Mr. Wlody began his career working as an Auditor and Consultant with Ernst & Whinney, a “Big Eight” accounting firm, which later merged with Arthur Young to form Ernst & Young. He then moved on to American Express, where he worked for the Travelers Cheque division of the company’s Travel Related Services group.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Mr. Wlody earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Colgate University, and also holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He earned his CPA while studying for his graduate degree and working in public accounting.
